Peafowl

We offer a wide-ranging and unique collection of stunning peafowl for sale, showcasing a dazzling spectrum of colors and fascinating patterns that are bound to mesmerize anyone who sees them. Peacocks, celebrated for their vivid feathers and majestic presence, have intrigued people for centuries. These extraordinary birds belong to the fowl family (Phasianidae), and we raise two out of the three species of peafowl: the Indian peafowl and the green peafowl. There are numerous colour mutations of the Indian peafowl, including white, blackshoulders, pied, silver pied, peach, purple, and a variety of others.

India Blue Peafowl

The Indian peafowl, scientifically known as Pavo cristatus, proudly serves as the national bird of India. This vibrant, swan-sized avian creature boasts a striking fan-shaped crest of feathers, a distinctive white patch beneath its eye, and a long, slender neck. The male peafowl is particularly eye-catching, showcasing a radiant blue breast and neck, complemented by an extraordinary bronze-green tail composed of approximately 200 elongated feathers. In contrast, the female is more subdued in coloration, appearing brownish, slightly smaller than her male counterpart, and notably lacking the impressive tail. When the male performs his elaborate courtship dance, fanning out his magnificent tail and meticulously preening his feathers, it creates a breathtaking spectacle.
